President Wavel Ramkalawan made an official visit to the new Island Development Company (IDC) headquarters at Ile Du Port this afternoon, welcomed by IDC’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Glenny Savy and GICC General Manager Ms. Angelique Antat, who guided him through the facility.
Named "Maison Mazaren" in tribute to Antonio Constance, a renowned conservationist and guardian of the islands' natural heritage, the cutting-edge headquarters reflects a major investment of 94 million Seychelles rupees, fully funded by IDC. Staff transition from the previous location to the new premises since December 2023.
The modern, five-story complex consolidates the administrative, logistics, and finance departments of both the Island Development Company and Green Island Development Construction Company (GICC). Ongoing additions, including a warehouse and workshop facilities, further enhance the building's operational scope.
Demonstrating a focus on employee well-being, the facility includes amenities such as a playroom, canteen, gymnasium, and clinic, aimed at creating a supportive and dynamic work environment.
President Ramkalawan’s tour featured engagements with employees across departments and a thorough inspection of the premises, concluding with a strategic meeting alongside IDC’s administrative heads to review key IDC & GICC projects.
This state-of-the-art headquarters marks a milestone in IDC’s modernization efforts, underlining its commitment to employee welfare and bolstering its capacity to serve the nation.
