Rome, Italy, 15 March 2024: The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr Wavel Ramkalawan and the First Lady, Mrs Linda Ramkalawan arrived in Rome, Italy earlier today ahead of his official visit to the Vatican and private audience with His Holiness Pope Francis tomorrow, 16 March 2024.

The President was welcomed at the Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino International Airport by His Excellency Archbishop Francesco Canalini, Apostolic Nuntius emeritus,  Mgr. Javier D. Fernandez, Head of Protocol and Ms. Paola Adelmann, representing the Honorary Consul General of Seychelles in Rome, Italy.
