The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr Wavel Ramkalawan has formally announced the removal of the State of Emergency in Seychelles as of 1800hrs on 7th December Seychelles time.

All services and activities have resumed as per usual.

However, the Providence Industrial Estate area and surrounding areas affected by the explosion will remain as a controlled area, in order to ensure the safety of the public as well as owners of business in that zone.

Members of the public are reminded to follow all instructions from the Police, as the emergency services and relevant authorities continue their work.
