President Wavel Ramkalawan received MUA Insurance Group CEO Mr. Joerg Weber and his delegation at State House today.

He was accompanied by the Country CEO based in Mauritius, Mr. Naresh Gokulsing, Group international partnerships manager based in Mauritius, Mr. Ramakrishna Madoo, Country Manager based in Seychelles, Mr. Emilio Freminot, Head of Business Development, African Risk Capacity based in South Africa, Mr. David Maslo, and  Group Chief Underwriting Officer for MUA based in Mauritius, Mr. Kenny Wong.

The President commended MUA Seychelles for being well-established since 2011 and for continuously serving Seychelles.

“The Government of Seychelles is satisfied that you are now well established. We thank you for your commitment and for being a serious partner. I wish to extend the support of the Government as you expand to provide new services and products to our citizens. I am equally satisfied that you have been able to hold meetings with the respective Ministers and discussed lengthily the financial innovation that can be of advantage to the country,” said President Ramkalawan.

The meeting centered on MUA Insurance Group strategies and possibilities, financial innovation, such as the possibilities for MUA Seychelles to offer new products in health insurance, and national disaster insurance among other services that be beneficial to the Government and the population.

MUA Insurance Group is present in six countries, which includes Seychelles which offers regional financial services, providing innovative insurance and financial solutions for communities.
