President Wavel Ramkalawan welcomed a group of high achievers from the Independent School at State House yesterday afternoon. The group included some of the students who have done extremely well and excelled in their exams for different subjects.
The President congratulated the students for their outstanding performance and encouraged them to continue on the right path and to stay focused. He also commended the school for keeping up the high standards that have produced high achievers in the past years and in getting parents involved.
“We believe in recognizing students for their hard work, encouraging them to fulfill their aspiration, but we also believe in encouraging schools that are doing extremely well. I am proud when I see our young Seychellois achieving in their studies and you have a long journey ahead. Set your goal, believe, and stay focused,” said President Ramkalawan.
Also present was the Minister for Education, Dr. Justin Valentin who also have words of encouragement for the students. He extended his support and that of the Government as they advanced in their studies and also in partnering with the Independent School.
The students were accompanied by Principal Andy Esparon and Vice Principal, Mrs Kim Balette.
