Diwali symbolises the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. Diwali also reminds us that truth, light, and goodness will always prevail. It is also a time for prayer and reflection about those less fortunate as family and friends come together.

This year has been a challenging one for our nation. May Deepawali instill in us the sense of perseverance that with hope and unity we can overcome any challenges. Diwali is also a reminder that as a nation we need to each do our part to unite our nation and to also be there at the service of others.
