Glasgow, Scotland 1st November 2021: President Wavel Ramkalawan met with President of Madagascar, Mr Andry Rajoelina on the sidelines of the UNFCCC’s COP26 Climate Change Conference, in Glasgow this morning (Monday).

Discussions between the two Heads of State were predominantly on priority subjects such as maritime security and illegal trafficking currently taking in the South of Seychelles' territory.

It was immediately agreed that before end of the year there will be a special conference to be organised through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Seychelles and Madagascar.

The two heads of State also discussed the recent case of trafficking whereby the Seychelles’ authorities arrested a boat carrying 23.5kg of gold.
