President Wavel Ramkalawan welcomed a delegation from the Seychelles Bible Society of Seychelles at State House this morning. Present for the meeting was Father Daniel Kalle, Pastor Abel Ntep Ntep and Pastor Eddy Payet.
During discussions, the delegation briefed President Ramkalawan on the various ongoing projects and programmes being implemented by the organization as well as their plans for the future. The primary focus of the agenda was on the forthcoming project for the building of a Bible House.
As a long-standing project which is expected to be not only benefit the Bible Society but also the country in general, the President reassured the delegation of his commitment in ensuring the Bible House project is materialised.
The President on behalf of Government also expressed sincere appreciation to Seychelles Bible Society for the important contributions they are making to the country such as through the Trauma Healing training sessions, Spiritual Programmes for at risk youths, and the distribution of Creole Version of the Bible amongst others.
The Bible Society of Seychelles was founded in June 2013 and its vision and mission is focused on ensuring the Bible is easily available and accessible as well as to promote the use of Holy Scriptures.
