Whilst in the UAE, President Wavel Ramkalawan  met with the President of AMSA Renal Care, Mr. Abdullah Ajmal yesterday. He was accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Mr Sylvestre Radegonde and the 3rd Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Mr. Jonathan Pool. 

AMSA is the main organization that provides Renal Dialysis Treatment in Seychelles. The meeting was an opportunity to further discuss the existing contract. 

Through the discussions, President Ramkalawan successfully negotiated a reduction in the cost of treatment from USD250 to USD175 per session per patient. This will result in savings of around 46 million Seychelles rupees for the year 2021 for the country.
