President Danny Faure met with members of the Gold Command committee at State House this afternoon in relation to developments arising from the latest COVID-19 case in the country. The President was briefed on the latest information and ongoing response measures.
The Department of Health is currently executing its COVID-19 response plan, prepared specifically to address such situations. Speaking to the press after the meeting, the Public Health Commissioner, Dr Jude Gedeon urged members of the public to adhere to the safety guidelines and hygiene measures issued by health authorities to keep themselves, their families and the country safe. He said that this would make the work of the health authorities easier in mitigating the spread of coronavirus in the community.
