The President of the Republic, Mr Danny Faure received the CNN International Anchor Mr Richard Quest for a courtesy call at State House this morning.
President Faure welcomed Mr Quest to State House and commended him for the amazing work that he is doing through his extensive media career not only for CNN but for the good of humanity.
During the meeting, the President and Mr Quest discussed a wide range of topics related to tourism, climate change and the liberalization of LGBTQ rights in Seychelles as well as the economy in general.
The popular CNN Anchor is currently in Seychelles on a 5 day filming tour for CNN TV show “Quest’s World of Wonder” of which through the meeting had the opportunity to brief President Faure on the highlights of the project in Seychelles and the various extraordinary filming sites he visited during his tour.
Speaking to the Press after the meeting, Mr Quest described Seychelles as an extraordinary place with melting pot of people and incredible nature and how he has always wanted to come to Seychelles. When the work opportunity arose to film the show in Seychelles he was delighted to be granted the chance to showcase to the world what Seychelles is really about.
Whilst in Seychelles aside from the numerous shooting locations which namely included sites on Mahe, Bird Island, Praslin Vallee de Mai and La Digue, Mr Quest also held discussions with the Minister for Minister for Finance, Trade, Investment and Economic Planning, Mr. Maurice Loustau-Lalanne and the Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine, Mr Didier Dogley.
He was accompanied on his visit to State House by the Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine, Mr Didier Dogley and departs Seychelles this evening.
