State House has announced that further to the complaint of the Hon Wavel Ramkalawan, Leader of the Opposition, regarding the search of his luggage by officers of the Antinarcotics Bureau of the Seychelles Police at the Seychelles International Airport on Saturday 8 February, the President of the Republic has decided to appoint a Commission of Inquiry to inquire into the allegation of wrongful search.

 

Justice Fiona Robinson has been appointed to undertake the enquiry and report to the President on the matter within 14 days.
