The Chairperson of the Constitutional Appointments Authority, Mr Michel Felix, called on President Danny this morning to present him with the first ever Annual Report of the Constitutional Appointments Authority. The Report covers the period 2017 to 2018, beginning with the appointments to the CAA following amendments to the Constitution of Seychelles in April 2017 which enlarged the membership of the CAA from three to five Members.
The Report includes statements relating to the CAA’s functions, structure, operational procedures, finances and activities, as well as a list of appointments made by the President on the recommendations of the CAA.
The President welcomed the report, and thanked the CAA for its initiative in documenting the work of the organisation, which played a crucial constitutional role in ensuring good governance.
