President Faure has sent a message of condolence to the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, H.E Mr. Maithripala Sirisena, following the tragic news of the Easter Day bomb blasts at three churches and hotels in Colombo, claiming the lives of more than 100 people and leaving many seriously injured.

“In this moment of profound grief and sadness, the Government and People of the Republic of Seychelles join me in expressing to you, to the Government of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and to the families who have lost loved ones, our deepest condolences. I remain confident that this most callous act will not break the spirit of the Sri Lankan people” said President Faure.
