The President of the Republic, Mr Danny Faure, will proceed on overseas leave to the UAE this weekend.

The President will leave the country on Friday 19 April 2019, and return on Monday 22 April 2019.

As the Vice-President will be on an overseas mission during this period, in accordance with Article 56 and Article 75 (4) of the Constitution of the Republic, the Designated Minister, Mrs Macsuzy Mondon, will hold the portfolios falling under the President and the Vice-President, and will also discharge any function that the President or the Vice-President is required to discharge under the Constitution, during their absence from the Republic.
