President Faure has expressed his sympathy to the President of the Republic of Zambia, H.E. Mr. Edgar Lungu, upon the passing of the High Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia in Nairobi, H.E. Mrs. Brenda Muntemba-Sichilembe, on March 19, 2019.
In his letter, President Faure revealed that the news of Mrs. Muntemba-Sichilembe’s death, the non-resident High Commissioner of Zambia to Seychelles, was received on his part with “deep sorrow and great shock”. He extended his condolences on behalf of the government and people of Seychelles to the family, friends, and colleagues of Mrs. Muntemba-Sichilembe along with the people of Zambia.
“The late Mrs. Muntemba-Sichilembe will be remembered as a passionate, deeply committed lady, who during her tenure dedicated herself to further consolidate the exceptional bonds of friendship our countries have been privileged to relish over the years. We have truly lost a highly respected and treasured diplomat and a good friend of Seychelles.” said the President.
