Upon the tragic impact of cyclone Idai, President Faure has extended on his behalf and that of the people of Seychelles words of condolences to the President of Mozambique, H.E. Mr. Filipe Nyusi.

“The government and people of Seychelles join me in extending our sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and the people of Mozambique and we pray each and everyone affected by this unprecedented tragedy, courage and strength during this difficult period” said President Faure.

The President further expressed that “Seychelles and Mozambique as African brothers with common aspirations have shared a strong bilateral friendship which will further be cemented through our continued solidarity and collaboration.”
