President Danny Faure has declared Thursday 7^th March 2019, to be a public holiday in accordance with Section 5 of the Public Holidays Act.

The funeral of the Former President France Albert René, who had been the Head of State of the Republic for 27 years, will take place on that day, which has already been declared a National Day of Mourning.
