President Faure has extended his heartfelt condolences to H.E. Mr. Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia, following the tsumani that struck the Sunda Strait yesterday, killing over 200 people.

“We wish courage and strength to the people of Indonesia and to the families and loved ones of the victims” said President Faure.

President Faure added that the government and people of Seychelles join him in extending “our sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of Indonesia and we wish Indonesia much fortitude and togetherness in this difficult period”.
