The President of the Republic, Mr Danny Faure, received the members of the 15th cohort of the Seychelles National Youth Assembly (SNYA) at State House today.

During the meeting, the President shared with the members the evolution of SNYA since its establishment, and the changes that have occurred as a result. President Faure also spoke about some of the challenges Seychelles is facing as a country and called on the SNYA members to engage in acts of citizenship, reach out to those in need, and discourage their peers from antisocial activities.

On their part, the members discussed with the President some of their concerns and challenges with the SNYA, and their personal aspirations. Following the meeting, the SNYA members received a guided tour of the State House grounds.

The Seychelles National Youth Assembly was set up 15 years ago by President Danny Faure when he was the Minister for Youth. It serves as a medium for dialogue between the youth and government.
