President Danny Faure met the recently crowned Miss Creole Des Îles Seychelles 2018, Ms Ketsia Marie, at State House this morning. The first and second princesses, Ms Tisha Loze and Ms Natasha Chetty, also accompanied the Seychelles beauty queen to the meeting with the President.
The President congratulated all three ladies for their achievement. He also expressed his support for Ms Marie’s project to promote Creole culture and traditions, especially among the young people of Seychelles.
During the meeting, the pageant winners shared with the President on their journey so far, as well as their aspirations.
“Congratulations on your success. Work hard at everything you do and make your country proud. I am happy to note that you all took your studies seriously whilst taking part in this beauty pageant. I encourage you through your titles, to reach out in your community and schools to nurture good values and set a good example to our young people. Share with them our Creole culture and tradition, be a role model,” said President Faure.
Miss Creole Des Îles Seychelles 2018 was organised by Telly’s Modelling Agency along with key partners.
Also present at the meeting was the Chief Executive Officer for Creative Industries and National Events Agency, Mr Gaelan Bresson, and the owner of Telly’s Modelling Agency, Mr Terry Carola.
