President Faure has expressed his deepest sympathies and condolences to the Iskaros family upon the passing away of Mr Adil Iskaros on Saturday. Mr Iskaros served as Honorary Consul and subsequently Honorary Consul General for Seychelles in Paris for over 27 years.
In a letter addressed to Mr Iskaros’ nephew, the President said that “we will miss his dedication, passion, and generosity of spirit. Seychelles has lost a true advocate and friend. We will be forever indebted to him for his service”.
On behalf of the Government and the People of Seychelles, President Faure offered his thoughts and prayers to the Iskaros family during this difficult time.
Among his many responsibilities on Honorary Consul General, Mr Iskaros ensured that Seychellois from all over the world were assisted with passport formalities, visa enquiries, and facilitated research on investment in Seychelles, while acting as a de facto extension of the Seychelles Embassy in Paris in the absence of the Embassy’s staff.
