The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr Danny Faure, will be attending the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), from 3 to 4 September. He is attending the Summit at the invitation of the President of the People's Republic of China, H.E. Xi Jinping.

The Summit is being held under the theme ‘China and Africa: toward an even stronger community with a shared future through win-win cooperation." The Summit aims to expand on the specific plans for future China-Africa cooperation from 2019 to 2021.

Prior to the start of the Summit, President Faure will be meeting with H.E. President Xi Jinping and other high level officials in the Chinese Government.

President Faure will leave the country on 31 August 2018 and will be back in office on 6 September 2018.
