The new Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of Seychelles, H.E. Mr Jacek Bazański, presented his credentials to President Danny Faure in an Accreditation ceremony held at State House this morning.
President Faure extended a warm welcome to H.E Ambassador Bazański and commended him on his accreditation as the new Ambassador of Poland to Seychelles. In his remarks, President Faure stated his wish to work with the Ambassador and to further enhance the cooperation between Seychelles and Poland.
During discussions, President Faure congratulated the government of Poland as they celebrate 100 years anniversary of their Independence and conveyed his fraternal greetings and that of the people of Seychelles to the President of Poland and his government.
The Head of State highlighted that the two countries may earmark sectors across different areas of mutual interest, such as in trade and commerce, tourism and fisheries for cooperation. Ambassador Bazański expressed his wish to have an Honorary Consulate for Poland based in Seychelles, which he said will facilitate the work of his Embassy based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Speaking to the press after the meeting, Ambassador Bazański affirmed that with his accreditation and through the discussions held with the President he is looking forward to bridging new avenues of cooperation between Seychelles and Poland.
Also present at the ceremony was the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Barry Faure, Chief of Protocol and Presidential Affairs, Mrs Jaqueline Moustache-Belle and Director General for International Relations, Mrs Lindy Ernesta.
