The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Her Ladyship Mathilda Twomey will be absent from the Republic from 17th December 2016 to 6th January 2017.

Following the recommendation of the Constitutional Appointments Authority, and in accordance with Article 128 (1)(b) of the Constitution, the President has appointed Judge Bernadin Renaud to act as Chief Justice during her absence.
