President James Michel has sent a congratulatory letter to the new Prime Minister of Canada, Mr Justin Trudeau following the Liberal Party’s victory in the country’s general elections.

In his letter, President Michel on behalf of the Government and people of Seychelles conveyed to Prime Minister Trudeau and the Liberal Party of Canada his most sincere and warm congratulations.

He remarked “your victory is significant of your devotion to serving your country and attests to the trust that people of Canada have placed in your vision to lead them on a path of prosperity.

”President Michel reiterated the longstanding friendship which exists between the Governments and people of the two countries and it was the President desire that those ties are continually reinforced to the benefit of both peoples.
