The Office of the President has announced the appointment of Mr. Alvin Laurence as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles National Youth Council.  He will replace Ms Vicky van der Westhuizen who has completed her term of office.  Mr. Laurence has been serving as the Deputy CEO of the SNYC since February 2014, and holds a Master's Degree in Political Science from the University of Manchester.

Ms. Ghislaine Belmont, who is currently the Director of the Youth Services Bureau at the SNYC, has been appointed as the new Deputy CEO of the SNYC.  She holds a Diploma in Youth Development from the University of South Africa.

The President thanked the outgoing Chief Executive Officer, for her hard work and contribution to youth development, and said he was sure that the new leadership of the SNYC would build on its achievements and lead the way forward for the youth of Seychelles.
