President James Michel congratulated President of the Republic of Mauritius, Mr. Rajkeswur Purryag, as well as to the Government and people of Mauritius on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the National Day Celebrations of the Republic of Mauritius.

In a message addressed to President Purryag, President Michel highlighted the numerous accomplishments of Mauritius over the years. President Michel also noted that the Mauritius and Seychelles continue to share a strong and unique partnership rooted in a shared commitment to achieve a prosperous, stable and secure Indian Ocean region.

President Michel reiterated his wish for the continued happiness and prosperity of what he described as “our Mauritian brothers and sisters".
