Vice President, Danny Faure leaves the country today to represent President James Michel at the 16th Summit of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Heads of State and Government.

The Summit under the theme “Enhancing Intra-COMESA Trade through Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development, will be held from 23rd to 24th November 2012 in Kampala, Uganda.

The Summit is expected to focus on the importance and central role played by MSMEs in the sustainable and long term economic development of COMESA Member States.

The Vice President will be accompanied to the Summit by Ambassador Barry Faure, Secretary of State in the President’s Office and Ambassador Claude Morel, High Commissioner of Seychelles in South Africa.
