April 4 2012 -- The new ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Seychelles, Dr Michal Mlynár, presented his credentials to President James A Michel at State House yesterday.
Dr Mlynár said after the ceremony that he saw the potential rise in education links as a major basis for more cooperation between the Slovak Republic and Seychelles.
"We would also like to promote business. We think there could be more tourists coming from Slovakia so we need to work on a few technical areas," he said.
While in Seychelles the sixth Slovak Republic's ambassador is expected to have talks with the University of Seychelles officials. Other areas of cooperation cited are public administration, renewable energy generation, piracy, climate change and support for economic reform.
