Relations between Seychelles and Cuba are a "shining example of south-south cooperation that we can be proud of," President James A Michel has said in his message of congratulation on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the Cuba Revolution.

The anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution is celebrated on January 1.

In the message published yesterday, President Michel told President Raul Castro that he had  no doubt that the relations and friendship between Seychelles and Cuba would continue to gain momentum and to successfully develop in the benefit of both peoples, contributing to the setting of a multilateral and stable world order.

President Michel wished Cuba continued progress and prosperity.
