President Michel has appointed members of the new board of directors of the Seychelles Petroleum Company (SEPEC), effective from 1st August 2011.

Captain Guy Adam has been re-appointed as the chairman of the board.

The other members are Mr Ahmed Afif, Mr Conrad Benoiton, Mr Brijesh Jivan and Mr Flavien Joubert of the Environment Department.

SEYPEC, which was established in 1985, is responsible for meeting the country's demand for hydrocarbon energy products.  It also operates a fleet of local and international fuel tankers, and is also involved in oil exploration in Seychelles' waters.
