August 04 2011 --  The President has declared that the working day for all public sector workers will end at 12 noon on Friday 5th August, subject to the exigencies of the public service.  This is in view of the official opening the 8th Indian Ocean Island Games later the same day.

Public sector workers on Praslin may, in addition, be released from 12 noon on Thursday 4 August, again subject to the exigencies of the service, in view of a number of IOIG related football matches taking place at Amitie Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
