February 21 2011 -- Commodore Michiel Hijmans, the commander of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) anti-piracy taskforce patrolling the Indian Ocean called on President James Michel at State House last Friday.  

Commodore Hijmans is also commander of the Dutch naval vessel De Ruyter which was in Port Victoria last week. 

NATO's anti-piracy mission in the Indian Ocean is part of the Operation Ocean Shield.
