October 11, 2010 -- The longest-serving teacher honoured at this year's Teacher's Week event is Rita Milius who has been in the profession for 45 years.

Mrs Milius, from Plaisance primary school, received an award from President James Michel at a ceremony on 9th October.

She was also granted the seat of honour at the event, as thank-you for all the years she has devoted to the profession.
