May 19, 2010 -- Mexico's new ambassador to Seychelles is Mr Luis Javier Campuzano. He presented his credentials to President James Michel at State House yesterday.
Seychelles and Mexico are looking at enhancing their bilateral cooperation by expanding the scope of their education, tourism, health and trade ties.
Mr Campuzano said the two countries have a very good bond and should expand their trade relationship, taking into account Seychelles' strategic position in the Indian Ocean. He cited climate change as another area of cooperation.
After the presentation of credentials ambassador Campuzano called on Vice-President Joseph Belmont to discuss tourism-related issues and the scope of widening cooperation between the two countries.
Mr Campuzano will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
