May 12, 2010 -- Following the resignation of Mr. Rene Nusse, the President of the Republic has appointed Mrs. Jennifer Morel as the new CEO of the Seychelles Revenue Commission. The Minister of Finance, has expressed his thanks and appreciation to Mr. Nusse on behalf of the Government, for his hard work and commitment in his time in office.
Ms. Morel takes up the post after having served as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank.Â
"I am very pleased that Ms. Morel will be taking up this post at such an important time in our history. The Revenue Commission has a critical role to ensure the growth and development of our economy and I am confident that Ms. Morel has all the necessary qualities to ensure that our reform process continues to be an example for the world", President James Michel has stated.
Ms. Georgette Pillay remains in post as Deputy CEO of the Commission.
The Seychelles Revenue Commission was created in 2008, to oversee the collection of all government revenues in an efficient and transparent manner.Â
