May 7 2010 -- President James Michel today sent a congratulatory message to President Dmitry Medvedev of the Russian Federation on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War of 19451-1945, and the end of World War 11 in Europe.
The message reads:
"Excellency,
"On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, 1941-1945, and the end of World War II in Europe, it gives me the greatest pleasure to extend to you, to the government and the people of the Russian Federation, in my own name and on behalf of the government and people of Seychelles our warmest and sincere felicitations.
"I note with satisfaction that our two countries have maintained good relations over the years and it is my fervent belief that based on our continued history of friendship and mutual understanding, the future will bear witness to a strengthening of the existing bonds between our two countries.
"Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration and wishes for your personal well-being and happiness and for the people of the Russian Federation, continued progress and prosperity."
