President James Michel has sent a letter to the President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, on his re-election as the President of the African National Congress.
“ Your re-election at the head of Africa’s oldest political party in the very same year that the African National Congress is celebrating its 100th anniversary is testimony to the trust and esteem you are held in, to your statesmanship qualities and leadership skills,” said the President in his letter.
The President said that he is confident that the re-election of Mr Zuma to this high office will contribute to the further developmental progress and to the stability of South Africa, as to the well-being and unity of its brotherly people.
“I am also confident that under your leadership South Africa will continue to be the driving force of our continent and enhance its advocacy role in the international arena for the cause of Africa, for the cause of peace and justice, fairer terms of trade, and an end to discrimination in all its forms.”
The President wished President Zuma every success in the tasks which lie ahead of him.
