President Danny Faure chaired a scheduled meeting of the Cabinet on Wednesday 11th March, at which a number of legal memoranda were considered.

Cabinet was briefed on Seychelles’ response plan to the Coronavirus COVID 19.

Cabinet approvedproposal to restructure the National Council for the Disabled. 

Cabinet approved amendments to the Tertiary Education Act 2020.

Cabinet approved for the Southern African Development Community’s (SADC) Protocol against corruption (PAC) to be submitted to the National Assembly for ratification.

Cabinet also approved the Airport (Government) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 to introduce a new disembarkation levy of USD 15 to all arriving international passengers at the Seychelles International Airport.

Cabinet approved the restructuring of the Maritime Accident Investigation Board (MAIB) to enable the organisation to fulfil national expectations and international obligations.

Cabinet was updated on actions undertaken on the Aquaculture project since February 2017 and gave its approval for the next phase of the project.
