President Danny Faure chaired a scheduled meeting of the Cabinet on Thursday 26th December, at which a number of legal and policy memoranda were considered.
Cabinet approved the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Bill, 2019 and the Beneficial Ownership Bill, 2019. Both Bills will be gazetted for consideration by the National Assembly.
Cabinet also approved amendments to the Seychelles Pension Fund (Benefits) Regulations 2005 to establish a minimum pension and to provide clarity on the interpretation of retirement from work.
Cabinet approved the policy on Construction and Maintenance of Government owned Child Care Centres. Cabinet also approved the policy for the Selection of Operators for Government owned Child Care Centres.
Cabinet approved the road map to establish and operate the National Business Technology and Innovation Incubator.
Cabinet approved for the review of the postal rates for the Seychelles Postal Office.
Cabinet also approved policy provision to allow parents to support their children fund the cost of a condominium.
