Nigeria’s new High Commissioner to the Republic of Seychelles, H.E. Mr Momoh Sheidu Omeiza, presented his credentials to President Danny Faure at State House this morning.
President Faure congratulated High Commissioner Omeiza and noted the excellent relationship that exists between Nigeria and Seychelles. The President expressed his wish to deepen their diplomatic relations especially under the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps, where he said that Seychelles has benefitted in various sectors.
The Seychelles President and High Commissioner Omeiza also discussed taking bilateral relations between the two countries to the next level, and adding value to the cooperation ties. This would be in key areas such as health, education, housing, and sports, and also serve to bring the two nations closer together.
Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the new High Commissioner has pledged to take cooperation between Nigeria and Seychelles to greater heights.
Also present at the accreditation ceremony was the Director General for International Relations, Mrs Lindy Ernesta, and other officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs.
